Ziad Kamel & Patrick Cochrane have been business partners since 2003 and started their partnership by founding and organizing New Year’s Eve events in the famous Sursock Palais in Ashrafieh for 4 years. In 2005, Ziad & Patrick founded The Alleyway Group and established their 1st company which went on to launch two popular nightspots in Beirut [Gauche Caviar & Cloud 9].
Following on from the success of their first two ventures, Ziad and Patrick moved on to develop destination The Alleyway and after over two years of renovation,The Alleyway transformed from a rundown, dilapidated area into a small yet beautifully picturesque alleyway. Discreetly nestled in the heart of Gemmayze, The Alleyway brings together a diverse selection of outlets specializing in great food (Couqley), nightlife entertainment (Gauche Caviar & The Angry Monkey), shopping (The Union) and indoor tanning (The Tanning Salon). The Alleyway Group went on develop & operate another French restaurant named Amarres open on the Beirut Waterfront Marina in Zaitunay Bay.
